Understanding our donation refund and cancellation guidelines

At Al Hayat Welfare Group, we deeply value every donation we receive. Your contributions help us serve underprivileged communities through education, healthcare, food security, and various welfare programs. We strive to ensure that your donations are used effectively and transparently for the intended causes.

Due to the charitable nature of our organization, all donations are generally considered final and non-refundable. However, we understand that exceptional circumstances may arise, and we have outlined our refund policy below.

General Policy

All donations made to Al Hayat Welfare Group are voluntary and non-refundable. Once a donation is processed, it is considered final. This policy ensures that donor funds are promptly directed toward our charitable programs without administrative delays.

By making a donation to our organization, you acknowledge and agree to this no-refund policy unless exceptional circumstances apply as described below.

Exceptional Circumstances

Refunds may be considered only in the following exceptional situations:

  • Duplicate or Incorrect Transaction: If you accidentally made a duplicate donation or entered an incorrect amount due to technical error.
  • Unauthorized Transaction: If a donation was made without your authorization using your payment method.
  • Technical Glitch: If a technical error on our payment gateway resulted in an incorrect transaction.

In such cases, you must contact us within 7 days of the transaction date. Refund requests received after 7 days may not be entertained.

Refund Request Process

To request a refund, please follow these steps:

  • Send an email to info@awgkandhla.org with the subject line "Donation Refund Request"
  • Include your full name, donation amount, transaction date, and payment method used
  • Provide a clear explanation of the reason for the refund request
  • Attach a copy of the payment receipt or transaction confirmation (if available)

Our team will review your request within 5-7 business days and respond with a decision. If approved, the refund will be processed to the original payment method within 10-15 business days.

Processing Time

Approved refunds typically take 10-15 business days to appear in your account, depending on your bank or payment provider. We will notify you via email once the refund has been initiated.

Please note that payment gateway processing fees may be non-refundable in some cases, and the refunded amount may be net of such fees.

Tax Exemption & 80G Certificates

If you have received a tax exemption certificate (80G) for your donation, any refund of that donation will require you to return the original certificate or invalidate it for tax purposes. You agree to cooperate with us in this process if a refund is issued.

We recommend consulting your tax advisor regarding the implications of a donation refund on your tax filings.

Refunds for Goods or Services

If you purchased any merchandise, event tickets, or services from Al Hayat Welfare Group, separate refund policies may apply based on the specific product or event. Please refer to the terms provided at the time of purchase or contact us for more information.

Important Note: Al Hayat Welfare Group reserves the right to deny any refund request that does not meet the criteria outlined in this policy. We also reserve the right to modify this refund policy at any time without prior notice. Donations made through third-party platforms may be subject to their respective refund policies.

Fraud Prevention

We take fraud prevention seriously. If we suspect any fraudulent activity or chargeback abuse, we reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action, including reporting to relevant authorities and blocking future donations from the concerned individual.

Dispute Resolution

In case of any dispute regarding a donation or refund, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter through good-faith negotiations. If the dispute cannot be resolved amicably, it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Shamli District, Uttar Pradesh, India.
